Welcoming our newest patron Dr. Helen Ross
We are thrilled to announce that the talented Dr Helen Ross is joining 1 in 10 Dyslexia's team.
Helen is a Special Educational Needs specialist and Dyslexia expert with experience working in both the independent and public education sectors. She is a former teacher/SENDCo and after spending over 10 years in school settings, has moved on to becoming a researcher and specialist tutor.
Helen has spoken on many guest panels and conferences including sharing insight at the All-Party Parliamentary Group in 2022 alongside having her work published in various peer-reviewed and guest publications. Helen will consult on methodologies, data analysis and project findings.
A former trustee of the British Dyslexia Association
Chair of the Wiltshire Dyslexia Association
Published writer, with work cited in 8 peer-reviewed publications and 6 guest publications.
Guest Speaker at conferences including at the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties.
Founder of Helen’s Place, providing support for families and teachers of children with Dyslexia and Special Education Needs. Providing specialist tuition, advice, and research.
With Lobbying the government with an aim to change policy. Focusing on our research and case studies by implementing specialist dyslexia teacher training we are so pleased to have Helen’s support and guidance.
